Some simple tools can help a person to get better sleep. These include wearing a sleep mask to shut out light, using ear plugs to shut out sound, and so on.
I personally have tried several different sleep masks. They tended to either not shut out light completely or to feel uncomfortable. However, I by reading several reviews online, I found and bought one that I have been totally satisfied with. It is velvety soft, does not have any edges that dig into the skin, has a pocket to put my ear plugs, Here it is:
